What have you been doing since graduation?

I attended Ferris State College and studied social work. Employed by the State of Michigan for 30 years and am now retired. After retiring I became a certified personal trainer and worked at Pennock Hospital for 7 years.

Tell us about yourself.

I have been married to Jack Walker for 27 years. I have two amazing boys and three wonderful stepchildren - Robert Wager, in sales in West Palm; Rocky Wager, a geographer for the federal goverment in Baton Rouge; Matt Walker, a web designer; Sara Walker, in manufacturing; and Anna Walker in restaurant management.

I have two granchildren. I babysit full time for granddaughter Gracelyn Marie, 18 months, in Baton Rouge, LA. My step grandson, Quinn, lives in Huntington Beach California and is 5 years old. 

What are your hobbies?

Triathlons and Ironman races, running biking, swimming, and Pickleball.

What do you end up doing in your spare time?

When I'm not babysitting I'm playing pickleball or running and biking.

What did you want to be in High School?

I wanted to be a secretary which I did a couple years before attending college and changing my career goals to social work.

Have you been honored for anything? Explain.

I have won 1/2 ironman races at National Level. Qualified for Ironman Kona the ultimate race for Ironmen racers took 7 out of 20 in my age group from qualified racers around the world. I have also won various pickleball tourneys in my age group.

What is on your Bucket List?

Jack and I would like to visit Ireland since our families are from Ireland. It would be fun to meet some relatives. Other than that we just want to enjoy family and friends.
